Motorcyclist killed in Warm Springs crash identified

BOISE - A motorcyclist who died from injuries sustained in a crash on Warm Springs Avenue on Monday has been identified as a 52-year-old Boise man.

According to Ada County Coroner's Office, Craig Allen Carlisle died from blunt force trauma due to a motorcycle accident.

Boise police said the crash happened around 7:50 p.m. Monday near the intersection of Warm Springs and Starcrest Drive.

Police said the driver of the motorcycle was heading west around a curve on Warm Springs and crossed over the center line and collided with a Toyota pickup.

A driver who witnessed the wreck told KTVB a passing bicyclist attempted to perform CPR for about 10-12 minutes prior to the paramedics arriving. The witness says the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet and it was apparent where his head hit the truck's windshield.

Carlisle was taken to a local hospital where he later died. 

The driver of the pickup, an adult male, was not hurt in the crash.

Warm Springs was closed in the area of the crash.
