NAMPA - A relief organization that helps people worlds away is growing.
Mission Aviation Fellowship broke ground on its 9-acre expansion project this morning.
The project will increase their current Nampa campus from 10 to 19 acres.
It will include five duplex buildings, a community center, and a shower and laundry building for the MAF volunteer RV park.
“Our dream and plan is by the end of this year we want to have two of our housing units finished, the base maintenance finished, the RV park. And as funding comes in, we will continue with the building,” said MAF President and CEO John Boyd.
At the groundbreaking MAF also launched a $21 million fundraising initiative for three projects: the campus expansion, fleet optimization and new ministries.
Mission Aviation Fellowship is a global Christian ministry organization that travels to parts of Africa, Asia, and Latin America to help the work of relief organizations.
