ISP: Driver killed in early-morning crash near Gooding

GOODING -- One man was killed early Monday morning after police say he lost control of his pickup and crashed near Gooding.

The wreck happened at about 1:30 a.m. at the intersection of State Highway 46 and East 1950 South.

Idaho State Police say 50-year-old Richard McClure of Bellevue, Idaho was headed north on the highway when his pickup went off the west side of the road.

The vehicle went airborne, and wrecked on the north side of the canal, police say. McClure died from his injuries at the scene.

Police say he was not wearing a seatbelt. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
