Homeless day shelter now open to families

BOISE - A seasonal day shelter is now open for families experiencing homelessness.

It is located at Pioneer Neighborhood Community Center south of downtown Boise.

It is open seven days a week until April 1st from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The shelter offers educational opportunities such as story time, art classes, and recreation activities that families can enjoy.

Last year, the program served 27 families with over 3,500 daily visits.

Donations of diapers, baby wipes, socks, or cash for baby supplies and youth activities are welcome.
