BOISE -- A goose is to blame for an outage that left more than 300 customers without power Friday morning, Idaho Power officials said.
Traffic lights also malfunctioned when the large waterfowl flew into an electric line, bringing it down.
The outage stretched from Grove Street to Julia Davis Park and from Broadway Avenue to Capitol Boulevard.
The power has since been restored.
At least one person was hurt in a wreck at the intersection of Capitol Boulevard and Front Street at 8:40 a.m., dispatchers said.
The crash happened after traffic signals went down in the area. Drivers should treat intersections as four-way stops when traffic lights are not working.
An Idaho Power spokesman said the goose likely did not survive.
