I-84 back open after 5-vehicle crash east of Boise

BOISE - Idaho State Police is investigating a multiple-vehicle crash that shut down part of Interstate 84 east of Boise.

The crash happened around 2 p.m. Tuesday on eastbound I-84 at milepost 78, east of the Stage Stop.

Eastbound I-84 was completely blocked between Exit 74 (Simco Road) and Exit 90: I-84B (14 miles west of the Mountain Home area). However, as of around 3:45 p.m., ISP said traffic was being allowed through on the shoulder.

All lanes were back open as of around 7 p.m.

ISP said five vehicles were involved in the crash. Two people have been transported by air ambulance.
