Boise police receive new outpouring of support

The community is showing support for Jardo and the other injured officers.

BOISE - Thursday was a busy afternoon at the Boise Police Department.

Several people and groups came by to drop off cards, flowers and food.

One of those groups were third graders from Morley Nelson Elementary School.

Students hand made dozens of cards addressed to the injured Boise police officers, including K-9 officer Jardo.

The students didn’t know Jardo had passed before they delivered cards.

The school says they are letting parents deliver the news.

“I made my card for Jardo,” said one student.

Officers came out to personally thank the students once they were in the building and dropped off all the treats.

Officer Stan Nickels says this is exactly what the department needs in a time of pain.
