Police looking for drivers who caused rollover crash

BOISE - Idaho State Police are asking for the public's help finding the drivers of two vehicles who caused another driver to lose control of her car and crash on the Connector Thursday afternoon.

The rollover crash happened at about 5:30 p.m. in the westbound lanes of I-184 near the Fairview exits. Police say 20-year-old Kristan Selby was getting on the Connector from Fairview when she tried to avoid a collision with another car. That second car was trying to avoid a collision with a third vehicle, police said.

Selby lost control of her car, which ran into a jersey barrier, and flipped over onto its top. Selby was taken to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center. She called KTVB Thursday evening to say she was still in the hospital, but that she did not suffer any serious injuries. She added that it looked like the two other drivers were involved in some kind of road rage incident just before she crashed.

Police want to talk to the drivers of those vehicles. One of the vehicles is described as a white four-door sedan, possibly a Chevrolet Malibu, with Idaho elk plates, and partial license plate number that includes a 9 and an E.  The second vehicle was described as a silver Saturn hatchback.

The crash caused significant slowdowns in the westbound (outbound) lanes of the Connector until it was cleared at about 6:30 p.m.

Idaho State Police are investigating the crash.
