HAYDEN, Idaho -- Detectives have identified the deceased man and woman involved in a murder-suicide inside north Idaho home. Autopsies will be conducted on Daryl R. Clark, 43, and his wife, Tina Clark, 48, on Friday.

Police responded to a report of a shooting in the 900 block of West Sheridan Road in Hayden at 11 a.m. Thursday.

A man called 911 to report he just shot his wife and planned to shoot himself. As deputies arrived on scene, they heard a gunshot from inside the home.

Police entered to find a woman dead from an apparent gunshot wound. A man’s body was then found in a back room of the house. The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office says he appears to have been killed by a self-inflicted gunshot.

No one else was home at the time of the shooting.

Detectives are investigating.
