BOISE – Boise Police arrested two men they said attacked a woman on the Greenbelt Friday afternoon.
Police said the two men, who frequent local shelters, were cited earlier in the day for public drinking.
Shortly after that, the same Boise bike officer who cited them was called to an attack on the Greenbelt.
A woman riding a bike said she stopped to take a drink of her soda when two men jumped out of the bushes, grabbed her and took her backpack.
She told the officer one of the men told her to not drink or she might be cited by officers, as they were earlier that day.
That alerted the officer to who the men might be. After searching a couple of homeless shelters, the officer found both men.
Robert McCulloch, 45, and William Gilley, 61, are now in custody under several misdemeanor charges.
Police still have not located the victim’s blue Timberland backpack. If you've seen it, please call police at 377-6790.
