BOISE – Police are asking for help in identifying a car that caused a crash near the I-84 connector Saturday afternoon.
Idaho State Police say what started as a three-car road rage incident, ended in two car collision at 2:15 p.m.. The crash blocked both lanes of eastbound traffic, backing up for miles.
Witnesses told police that an unidentified, white, Mazda SUV engaged in a road rage incident that caused a crash between a Acura Integra and Honda Civic.
Witnesses also say that the driver of the SUV pulled over to taunt one of the drivers that crashed, and then fled the scene.
23-year-old Ethan Cornell was driving the Honda Civic at the time. After the crash, he was taken by ambulance to St. Alphonsus in Boise. The other driver, 28-year-old Sean Johnson was not taken to the hospital.
Both drivers were wearing their seat-belts.
