Traffic stop leads to drug arrest

BOISE -- Near Mountain Home, police arrested a man and woman from Washington State Monday morning for drug trafficking and other charges..

Idaho State Police stopped 47-year-old Robert Knowles, and 21-year-old Sarah Miller, both of Bonney Lake, Washington a traffic violation on Interstate 84 near milepost 84.

That's when a drug detection dog found approximately  4.5 ounces of cocaine, over 1.5 ounces of methamphetamine, small quantities of heroin and marijuana, and about $9,400 in cash.

Both Knowles and Miller were booked into the Elmore County Jail.

The Mountain Home Police Department and Elmore County Sheriff's Office assisted ISP.
