MERIDIAN -- Keeping kids warms has been a priority for one local business, and today, Bruneel Tire Factory employees delivered hundreds of coats to local schools.
As many as 2,500 coats were delivered to the Meridian School District Tuesday.
For the past four years, Bruneel Tire Factory has put together a winter coat drive -- collecting coats, hats, and gloves for those who may go without, if not for the kindness of the local communities.
"As counselors, of course, we care a lot about our students and we don't want anybody to be cold when they travel back and forth to school, or when they're out with their families,” said Heidi Freeney, Renaissance High School counselor. “So it makes us feel great to be able to provide them with a coat we know will be able to keep them warm.
The coat drive goes until mid-December.
Those who want to donate coats can bring them to any Bruneel Tire Factory location in the Treasure Valley.
