NAMPA -- A Treasure Valley man is hoping a first-of-its' kind event at the Idaho Center on Saturday will help bring communities together and jump start change.

Derrick Boles is the founder of Stand Up America, but on Saturday he hosted 'Stand Up Idaho.'

It started with a community bike ride this morning, and featured a message from nationally-renowned speaker Milton Creagh.

All funds raised go to programs helping find solutions to bullying, drug abuse, violence and discrimination.

Boles told KTVB that he is passionate about creating programs that connect people, rather than allowing social ills to tear them apart.
