NAMPA -- Dozens of cowboys, an entertaining lineup of rodeo events, and one huge, pink-painted bull greeted fans of the 'Stampede for the Cure' event at the annual Snake River Stampede rodeo on Wednesday.
Organizers donate money raised from the event to help women in the Treasure Valley pay for mammograms.

Alisha Havens with St. Alphonsus Hospital in Nampa says that while the event is meant to be light-hearted and fun, breast cancer screening is a serious responsibility for all women.
"Stampede for the cure is huge -- and all of the funds coming in from tonight go back to providing women with free screening mammograms -- It's very touching, very exciting," Havens said.
Not only were the fans wearing pink, but the cowboys also donned their pink duds. They also painted a large bull hot-pink for the occasion.
