BOISE -- Expansion is underway for local brewery Sockeye. Head brewer Josh King says the first phase of ground breaking started Tuesday on the new facility near Fairview and Cloverdale.
The first phase is building a new brewery which will help Sockeye produce more than double the current capacity they have at their brewpub on Cole Road.
King says demand for Sockeye beer is greater than production right now.
That first phase is expected to be completed by March or April. Sockeye plans to hire new employees.
In phase two the company plans to open a new restaurant.
