MERIDIAN – The warm weather has prompted Roaring Springs Waterpark to open this Saturday, May 12, the earliest opening in their 13-year history.
Idaho’s Chief Meteorologist Rick Lantz is forecasting sunny skies all weekend, with temperatures in the mid-70s on Saturday and low 80s on Sunday.
Roaring Springs will also kick of a “Name the Ride” contest this Saturday for its new Speed Slide, which is coming next summer. The purple and white six-story tall slide will be its highest and most extreme attraction. Riders will step inside a launching capsule and watch the trap door drop for a heart-pounding, jaw-dropping nearly vertical drop.
You can visit www.roaringsprings.com to enter.
The waterpark will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. this weekend and next, then seven days a week starting May 26, weather permitting.
Season passes are currently on sale.
