The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for the Boise and western Twin Falls BLM and the western zone of the Payette National Forest. These warnings are in effect until Monday night.

Abundant lightning and dry fuels have caused the issue of the warning. A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now or will occur shortly.

The warning is in effect from Sunday afternoon until midnight on Monday as scattered thunderstorms roll over the area Sunday night and again Monday over southwest Idaho. The storms will bring very little precipitation, gusty winds and abundant lightning for Idaho fire weather zones.
