BOISE - Boise Police are searching for a man who robbed the Idaho Advantage Credit Union on the 10500 block of W. Emerald Street, near Five Mile Road, about 9:45 a.m. Monday.

Witnesses told police that a man walked into the bank and gave an employee a note demanding cash. The note said the man had a gun although the employee says they did not see one. The man left the credit union with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect was last seen leaving the area on foot headed north through the parking lot.

The suspect is a light skinned male, in his late 40s to early 50s, about 5’10” to 6’ tall and heavy set. During the robbery the man wore a camouflage jacket, white gloves, black sweats, and appeared to have a gauze bandage or possibly a surgical mask on his face. Police say he had a large belly that was visibly hanging over his pants.

Boise Police are investigating and working with other law enforcement agencies to see if the suspect may be responsible for similar crimes in the area.

Anyone with information about this crime or the suspect is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS.
