BOISE -- Two people are facing felony drug charges after a police search and some alert children helped uncover drugs at a Boise apartment complex.
Boise Police were assisting Probation and Parole Agents Thursday afternoon as they searched the home of parolee John L. Green, 50, in the 3900 block of W. Alpine.
While police searched, they uncovered that Michelle Barella, 42, of Boise, was in possession of 0.7 grams of methamphetamine.
Green was arrested on an agent's warrant. While he was being arrested, several children who live in the complex came up to officers and asked why a bag was on the roof. Officers looked up and saw a window to the suspect’s apartment was open and that there was a bag was on the roof.
Boise Fire Department firefighters responded and retrieved the bag. Officers found evidence the bag belonged, which contained 7.6 oz of marijuana, a scale and baggies, belonged to Green.
Green faces charges of possession with intent to deliver - marijuana and concealment of evidence, both felonies.
Barella faces charges of possession of a controlled substance - methamphetamine, a felony charge.
The suspects were booked into the Ada County Jail.
