BOISE -- Ada County Coroner Erwin Sonnenberg says a 58-year-old woman found dead in her Boise home Thursday morning died from asphyxiation due to strangulation. Her death is listed as a homicide.
The victim has been identified as Beba Macomb. An autopsy was performed Friday morning.
Boise Police were called to a home near Warren Street and Lincoln Avenue just before 4 p.m. Thursday for a welfare check. When they arrived, they found a woman's body in the home. Police also found another person who was injured. That person was transported to a hospital with what police believe to be non-life threatening injuries.
Detectives are talking to a person of interest, along with others they believe have more information on what happened.
Police also say the public is not in danger at this time.
