NAMPA -- Police arrested a Caldwell man accused of harboring a felon, Thursday.

The U.S. Marshalls and Nampa Police arrested 33-year-old Clayton Dewey on a $50,000 warrant.

The Canyon County Prosecutor's Office believes Dewey harbored and protected Kyle Batt, a person who had committed a felony.

In October 2012, Batt opened fire and shot the two Canyon County Sheriff's Office deputies, and one deputy shot Batt in the leg.

Police say Batt went to Dewey's house after the shooting, where he provided medical care to Batt's injured leg and let him to stay in his heated detached garage while law enforcement searched for him.

According to police, one of the deputies shot in the incident has since returned to work, while the other deputy is still recovering from his injuries.
