NAMPA -- Parents of students that attend Sunny Ridge Elementary School in Nampa rallied Saturday to keep the school open.
The Nampa School Board alerted parents of Sunny Ridge and the Nampa Early Childhood Education Center that they would consider closing the schools to save money.
On Tuesday, voters passed a levy to help the Nampa School District get out of debt.
Parents said they want the chance to save Sunny Ridge, so they came out to show their support.
"We understand that it is an old school and there are things to need to be fixed and maintenance is high, but just discuss it with us, don't just send a letter home Friday before Monday's meeting," said Angela Locklin.
Parents we spoke to say they love the school, and it's a family there.
The school board will address the closing of these school at its meeting Monday.
