CALDWELL -- An injury crash on at the intersection of Lake Avenue and State Highway 55 in Caldwell sent one man to the hospital Thursday afternoon.
Idaho State Police say around 4:42 p.m. that 18-year-old Richard Sullivan of Melba was going north on Lake Avenue in a 2000 Chrysler Sebring and entered the intersection. While turning left from the stop sign he was struck by a 2008 Nissan Altima driven 22-year-old Corey West from Kuna. West was driving east on Highway 55.
The Nissan overturned and slid onto the canal bank. West was not injured.
Sullivan was taken by ambulance to West Valley Medical Center in Caldwell.
Sullivan and West were wearing their seatbelts.
The intersection was closed for about an hour and a half.
The Idaho State Police are investigating the accident.
