MERIDIAN -- One person was injured after a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 84 Sunday afternoon.
It happened around 1:30 p.m. in the westbound lanes of Interstate 84, near the Ten Mile overpass.
A police trooper had responded to a call regarding a rubber storage tote in the road. The trooper was attempting to remove the debris from the road when a 1999 Chevrolet Suburban driven by Phillip Harris, 36, of Meridian, slowed to avoid debris.
Harris' vehicle was rear-ended by a 2003 Saturn Ion driven by Dora McClain, 31, of Meridian.
McClain was taken to St. Luke's Regional Medical Center in Meridian with non-life threatening injuries. Seatbelts were worn and weather was not a factor.
Three lanes on the interstate were closed for approximately 45 minutes while emergency crews worked to clear the roadway.
