SANTA MONICA, Calif. -- The Los Angeles County coroner's office says 4 bodies have been found in the burned wreckage of private jet that crashed at the Santa Monica Airport after taking off from Hailey, Idaho.
Previously, officials had said a California construction CEO and his son were aboard that plane when it crashed into a hangar and burst into flames. They were presumed dead.
No other details on the passengers aboard the plane have been released.
The flight had taken off from Hailey, Idaho and landed in Santa Monica when it went off the right side of the runway at about 6:20 p.m. on Sunday and struck the hangar, Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Ian Gregor said.
A fire department official called the crash "unsurvivable."
