BOISE -- The Boise crosswalk where an elderly couple was killed last summer now has new warning signs.

Pedestrian paddles went up on Friday.  They are part of a package of safety improvements in the ParkCenter area.

In August 2009, 76-year-old Mary Woychick and her husband 78-year-old James Woychick were struck and killed while crossing the street at an intersection near Gossamer and Monterey.

The South East Neighborhood Association has been asking for the signs and ACHD says after last summer's deadly accident the project was put on the fast track.
