BOISE – The Ada County Highway District is making left turns off of State Street safer for drivers.
Crews began installing yellow flashing turn signals Tuesday. The first ones are at State Street at Bloom Drive and Plantation River Drive.
The yellow turn signals replace the green ball lights.
ACHD says the yellow arrows send a stronger message that drivers need to be cautious while turning left.
More arrow signals will be installed in the coming weeks. And if they perform as expected, the new signals will be installed throughout the county.
