BOISE -- The Boise State Broncos are taking on an entirely new look to kick off the season.
The new uniforms were unveiled Wednesday on Nike's Web site.
Nine other colleges also have newly designed uniforms.
Fans can purchase replica jerseys for $80.
They're already doing a lot of business at The Blue and Orange Store and BSU Bookstore.
"The jersey is doing great. We had people waiting in line, when we opened at all our locations. It's been phenomenal for us," said Mike Reed, director of BSU Bookstore.
"Anytime there's new product, it's going to drive sales. Bronco fans have proven time and time again they want the latest and greatest gear," said Travis Hawkes, Blue and Orange Store owner.
"They look cool, and I'm always in favor of new uniforms," said Thorpe Orton who bought two jerseys.
The uniform features a grey jersey, an oversized logo on just one side of the helmet, and blue pants.
"I like it, my wife thinks we oughtta wear the traditional blue. But, I like it, and I know my son will like it," said Joe Messmer who bought a jersey for his son.
"We bought four of the new jerseys, and three of them I have to ship off by FedEx today to brother-in-laws," said Dan Fromer.
Nike put together the customized uniforms for just 10 programs in the nation, BSU being one of those. Virginia Tech, the team they'll face in these uniforms, being another.
"It's great that Boise State is a part of this program. With just 10 Universities being chosen, and it speak volumes, not only about the strength of our football team, but also about the strength of the Boise State brand," said Hawkes.
Nike actually used the input of Bronco players in designing the look.
"They just asked us, if we could build a jersey from scratch, what we would do, and we just gave them as many ideas as we could. And, they came up with what they thought would look best," said Austin Pettis, BSU wide receiver.
The Broncos are not replacing their uniforms. They will wear these for, at least, the opener, and maybe more.
"The uniforms don't really mean anything unless we go out and ball. They're not going to look as pretty, if we come back with a loss. I'm hoping we come back with a win, and make those jerseys look even better," said Winston Venable, BSU nicklebacker.
The Broncos kick off their season against the Virginia tech Hokies at FedEx Field in Landover, Maryland on Monday, Sept. 6.
KTVB.COM will host a live web chat beginning at 4 p.m., and a pre-game show at 5 p.m. on Idaho's NewsChannel 7.
