NAMPA -- Nampa recently asked citizens to come up with a name for the city's downtown library development.

The options included Nampa Commons, Nampa Square and Nampa Town Center.

The people have spoken - it's now called "Library Square."

The new Library Square development will be on the block that houses the old public safety building, old fire administration building and Central Services building.  That’s between 11th and 12th Avenue South at 2nd and 3rd streets.

Gardner Company, which is building the Zion's Bank Building in downtown Boise, is also in charge of this project. The contract has not yet been finalized.
