NAMPA, Idaho -- A motorcyclist injured in a July 11 crash has died from his injuries.

Scott Heglar, 30, of Dayton, NV, died Saturday from injuries he sustained in the Interstate 84 crash involving another motorcyclist and two vehicles.

Heglar, driving a 2006 Harley-Davidson Motorcycle and Dale Waite, 58 of Nampa, driving a 2004 Yamaha Motorcycle were traveling west on Interstate 84 near mile post 37 and were slowing in traffic.

James Brocksopp, 58 of Emmett, driving a 1997 Ford Ranger did not slow for traffic. The Ford Ranger rear ended both motorcycles and side swiped a 2004 Saab driven by Michael Jorgensen, 42 of Nampa.

Heglar was taken to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise in critical condition. He later died from those injuries.

Both Waite and Brocksopp were transported by ground ambulance to St. Luke's Medical Center in Nampa for minor injuries and have been treated and released.

Heglar was wearing a helmet that came off of him at the time of the crash. Waite was wearing a helmet. Brocksopp and Jorgensen were both wearing seat belts.
