BOISE -- A group of military wives were treated to a day of pampering Tuesday.
They went shopping, got a makeover, and wrapped up the evening with an honorary dinner.
The women invited to the event are veterans, or wives of men in the military.
Organizers says it's a time to let the women know their roles back home are important and deserved to be honored.
"You know, this is really exciting to take that moment and try something new and to be pampered a little bit so that way when he comes home, I have this new look I can try out on him and I'm pretty excited," said military wife Khristina Rada.
Rada hopes her husband, who is deployed in Afghanistan right now, will be back sometime by the end of the month.
In the meantime, the women were able to show off their new look by sending photos to their husbands overseas.
