BOISE -- The canoe, stolen from a hiker who had to be rescued at Lucky Peak Reservoir, has been returned.
Kris Keller was looking for antlers with his three dogs at Lucky Peak, when his canoe was stolen, stranding him on the far side of the reservoir last week.
He was stuck across the reservoir for hours, but was able to start a fire to keep warm, and get the attention of people at the marina across the water.
Keller called KTVB to say that someone returned his canoe to the same spot from which it went missing, with an apology note. He also said he received a voicemail from the person who returned the canoe, also apologizing.
