TWIN FALLS -- Police say a Twin Falls man was arrested after reportedly threatening a Muslim woman shopping at the city's Walmart.
The Times-News reports that 42-year-old John C. Larsen was arraigned Thursday on a charge of felony malicious harassment in Twin Falls County 5th District Court.
Police say Larsen approached the woman who was wearing a traditional Muslim head covering and was accompanied by her two children.
After asking if she was Muslim, Larsen allegedly told the woman that he had been in Iraq and had friends killed there and that she didn't belong in the United States.
Witnesses reported hearing the man scream at the women, telling her he had a concealed weapon, had killed Muslims and would kill more.
Twin Falls police say there is no place for prejudice in the community.
