BOISE -- Most folks have probably planned their whole Thanksgiving menu out in advance. However, some might have forgotten a few ingredients the night before, and on this "Thanksgiving Eve," some people hit the local grocery stores to pick up some last minute items.

On Wednesday night, the Downtown Boise WinCo was busy for a weeknight, and most of the shoppers KTVB spotted had Thanksgiving fixings in their cart.

"We've actually been planning for the whole week," said Mark Fetter, who came to get some extra things for their Thanksgiving meal. "So we just forgot a couple items here, and we're going to finish it up and cook all night."

Most people KTVB spoke with were not surprised at how busy the store was.

WinCo shopper Heather Carr said, "You always have to park in the back on Thanksgiving. We were just like 'oh we're probably going to have to park way back and walk.'"

Store managers said their biggest rush at the Downtown Boise location was late Wednesday afternoon.

However, if you still need to pick up those last minute items, WinCo and certain Walmart stores will be open Thursday, so check with your local store about their Thanksgiving Day hours.
