NEW YORK, NY -- Kidnapping victim Hannah Anderson was reunited with four horseback riders from Idaho who alerted authorities when the 16-year-old seemed out of place in the Idaho wilderness in August.

Hannah appeared on TODAY during the 7:30 a.m. hour on Thursday where both she and her father spoke with host Savannah Guthrie about her ordeal, including details about how kidnapper James DiMaggio apparently drugged her and took her to Cascade, Idaho.

See that story here.

Notably, Guthrie asked Hannah if she'd like to someday meet the four riders who helped save her, to which Hannah said 'yes'. That's when Mark and Christa John and Mike and Mary Young surprised Hannah on the TODAY Show set.

Hannah Anderson choked back tears as she hugged both couples and thanked them.

Interestingly, Mark John also gave Hannah a token of the couples' affection -- a cowboy hat from Idaho.
