JEROME, Idaho -- The City of Jerome has responded to a burned-out building owner's latest billing issues.
On Monday, apartment building owner Sylvia Moore told us her insurance was being billed for three firefighters injured in the fire, and sent us copies of the letters.
This followed a nearly $100,000 being sent to her -- and later taken back -- by the city.
Today, the city administrator informed us the three people listed as having "sustained injuries from a fire" were in fact public works employees assisting in traffic control and clean up.
The city says they were sent to the doctor as a precautionary measure and didn't lose any time at work.
