GARDEN VALLEY -- During KTVB's Live Tour 2012 stop in Garden Valley, Dee Sarton spent some time with an Idaho woman who has led a fascinating life working in Antarctica over three decades.

Julia Uberuaga, known as 'Jules' to her friends, is a heavy equipment operator and works in support of the scientific projects at the South Pole.

Dee caught up with Jules at her Garden Valley home to find out how a girl from rural Idaho ended up being a female pioneer in Antarctica some 30 years ago.

We also have included an uncut version of Dee's entire interview with Jules.
