BOISE -- The Idaho Attorney General's Office has recovered $1 million for the state in the latest settlement over prescription drug pricing.

In the settlement, Abbott Laboratories has agreed to pay $1 million to resolve claims that the company used inflated numbers when it reported average wholesale prices of its drugs.

Those numbers are used by Idaho's Medicaid program to reimburse pharmacies.

Of the $1 million being paid to the state, about $606,000 will go to reimburse the federal share of Idaho's Medicaid funding. Another $243,000 will go into the state's general fund. And $50,000 will go to the attorney general's consumer protection account.
