POCATELLO -- An Idaho State University official says plans to create a new master's degree program with classes based in south-central Idaho are moving forward.

ISU College of Business dean Ken Smith says there is demand for the executive master's degree in business administration in the Wood River Valley, a region frequented by tourists.

Smith says the university would likely share space with the College of Southern Idaho, which has a satellite location in the area, to offer the degree program if the plan is approved.

The Idaho State Journal reports university officials are scheduled to discuss the proposal with business leaders from the region on Wednesday.
