BOISE -- Oregon State Police have re-opened a section of westbound Interstate 84 between exits 345 and 353 in eastern Oregon after a wildfire shut it down.
The Birch Fire burned 100 acres, and is still under investigation by the Bureau of Land Management.
OSP Sgt. Kurt Marvin says the fire burned around two miles along I-84 east of Huntington, Oregon, before the wind shifted and moved the flames north.
Firefighters from several local fire departments, Bureau of Land Management and U.S. Forest Service fought the fire throught Wednesday evening.
The fire is not expected to rekindle. However, firefighters continue patroling the area on Thursday.
