ADA COUNTY --  A Boise energy company is filing a tort claim for up to $30 million against Ada County.

This is coming after controversy about the county's contract with Dynamis, a waste-to-energy business, that plans to build a facility out at the landfill.

Ada County attorney, Ted Argyle says the county received the claim and is "taking it under advisement."

Hidden Hollow Energy LLC and Hidden Hollow Energy 2 LLC filed the claim. Argyle explained the claim said Ada County breached their contract with two Hidden Hollow Energy companies, by signing a new contract with Dynamis.Hidden Hollow Energy already does similar gasification at a landfill-- like what Dynamis plans to do.

Commissioner Dave Case said he hopes they can settle the issue out of court. Commissioners Ullman and Yzaguirre did not return our phone calls.
