Grass fire burns 300 acres in SW Boise

BOISE -- A grass fire burned about 300 acres in a southwest Boise neighborhood Monday afternoon.
The fire sparked around 4:30 p.m. on Umatilla Avenue near the New York Canal.
The fire burned to about 30 yards from one home.
Winds caused the fire to change directions -- raising concerns.
The fire is contained, but at this point there is no cause.
