BOISE -- A Treasure Valley father-daughter team competed in a race from Asia to Europe, raising money all along the way for The Idaho Foodbank.

They took the 7,600 mile trip in a 1965 Ford Mustang, and behind the wheel was Micron Executive, Brian Shields and his daughter.

Shields says donors contributed to every mile of the race, and on Thursday he presented a check to the foodbank for $14,000.

"We've been supporting the foodbank for years and it seemed just an obvious case. The car is sourced here locally, my daughter is from Idaho, and we wanted to do something for a local cause and this is a great cause," said Shields.

Shields says he displayed the Foodbank logo on his car for the month long Peking to Paris Endurance Rally.
