BOISE -- Just one week has gone by, but still friends and family continue to mourn and celebrate the lives of a Boise couple killed in a head-on crash.
Sunday evening, as many as 300 people gathered in Julia Davis Park to honor the lives of Zach Peterson and his wife, Courtney "CJ" Glick-Peterson.
The Petersons were killed in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 26 near Vale, Oregon last Sunday afternoon.
Friends say the couple was active in Boise's electronic music scene. Zach was a DJ and producer trying to start his own label. Those who knew CJ dressed up in costume and wore mustaches Sunday to reflect her free and fun personality.
“She just was who she was and that was inspiring to me,” said Betsy Hammar, a friend of CJ Peterson.
“He’s our buddy and we love him, we love both of them,” said Robert Stevahn, who was roommates with the Petersons.
Friends said they want to try and carry on the dreams of both Zach and CJ Peterson in their absence.
Paulina, Oregon resident Eugene Benard, 76, was also killed in the crash.
