BOISE -- Friends and family rallied around "Big Jack" Armstrong at a special event held in his honor Saturday night.
Armstrong is best known for being a popular radio personality in Idaho, but he's also a classic car enthusiast.
After building his career and now owning a radio station, Armstrong's dreams were cut short after suffering a stroke last month. Since he doesn't have insurance at this time, supporters came to the Boise Centre to help raise money for his stroke recovery fund.
While KTVB was at the event, Big Jack himself, stood and said, "I am humbled and blessed by the generosity of all of you. I promise to work hard and be back stronger than ever."
