MERIDIAN -- Emergency crews had to cut into the side of a car, in order to free someone inside after a two vehicle accident on Eagle Road Sunday afternoon.
The accident happened at about 12:30 p.m., near Cheerleaders Bar & Grill.
Emergency crews had to use the jaws of life to cut one person from a vehicle.
Our photographer, who was on the scene, tells us someone was trapped in the backseat, but was freed as soon as they cut away the side of the car.
Trevor Palmer, a firefighter paramedic on the scene told KTVB a total of five people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. One of those women was pregnant.
The right, southbound lane on Eagle Road was blocked while crews responded to the accident, but that lane has since been reopened.
Each person involved in the accident was wearing a seatbelt.
