CANYON COUNTY -- Voters in the Middleton and Nampa school districts are now able to cast ballots for several upcoming school levy elections.

The in-house early voting starts Thursday, Feb. 28 and continues through Friday, March 8.

Voters are welcome to cast ballots between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Canyon County Elections Office in Caldwell.

The formal election will be held on March 12.

Requests for a mail-in absentee ballot must be received by Wednesday, March 6.

Middleton's levy seeks $250,000 per year for 10 years, starting in July 2014. That's in addition to any and all other levies currently on the books.

Nampa's supplemental levy seeks up to 4,300,000 for one year only. The district says the money  would be used to pay for operating expenses from July 2013 to June 2014.
