EAGLE -- The Eagle terrain park is set to be located on land the city of Eagle leases from Ada County, but now the city wants that land.

At their last meeting, the Eagle City Council directed the mayor to ask Ada County to donate the park land to the city of Eagle.

The city says it is not fair for the county to charge the city of Eagle for this public land.

Ada County leases it to the city of Eagle for $1 a year.

KTVB obtained a letter from Eagle Mayor Jim Reynolds to Ryan Neptune, who's company will build the park.

The letter says the city of Eagle fully intended to honor their agreement with Neptune.

In Neptune's letter back to the city, he says they intended to start work on the park, but says they have lost crucial building time and revenue because of delays from Ada County.
