BOISE -- Cyclists took to the great indoors Saturday to celebrate National Heart month and highlight heart health awareness.
Cyclists were found inside the Boise Towne Square Mall as part of the eighth annual Inside Ride, where they competed in six heats all day long.
There were also prizes and giveaways to best cyclists.
However, the mission for Saint Alphonsus was to make the event visible to the community.
"That is the whole point is to get out here and get visible to the public to attract a crowd, to get some blood pressure taken on people, to get some bone density screenings on people and to just get the conversation going about your heart and your health," said Jennifer Myres with Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center.
Heart disease remains the number one killer of women in the U.S.
Those with Saint Alphonsus say they want people to know the different cardiovasuclar services the hospital offers.
